Why We Exist: The Foundation's Story and Commitment to Human Life

23 May 2026·About Us·1 min read

Healthcare should not be a privilege for the wealthy. It should be a basic human guarantee. At Anike Depression Care Foundation, we are building a future where no one is abandoned in their hour of need.

There is a simple truth that drives everything we do at Anike Depression Care Foundation: no one should die because healthcare is too expensive.

In a world of medical breakthroughs and advanced technology, it is unacceptable that people still lose their lives simply because they cannot afford treatment. Healthcare should not be a privilege for the wealthy. It should be a basic human guarantee.

Our Origin

This foundation was born out of a deep awareness of the silent struggles many people face when illness, loss, or financial hardship suddenly disrupts their lives. In many communities, one medical crisis can destroy the stability of an entire family. When the breadwinner falls ill and treatment becomes unaffordable, the consequences ripple through generations — children drop out of school, mental health deteriorates, and hope fades.

The HealthShield Insurance Club

At HealthShield Insurance Club, we believe that when communities come together, we can make healthcare affordable for everyone. By pooling resources, members help finance essential medical equipment and reduce treatment costs for ordinary Nigerians.

Our Commitment

We are committed to ensuring that people can rebuild their lives without losing their sense of dignity. Our work is guided by a simple belief: Every human life has value, and every person deserves a second chance at hope.

We invite you to walk this journey with us — because together we can build a society where compassion is stronger than hardship, and where no one is left alone in their moment of need.
